Listen
We carefully listen to your recording to understand what’s there and what’s needed.
Helping investigators, attorneys and anyone else get more usable information from difficult recordings.
Clean up. Clarify. Reveal.
Some recordings contain important details that are difficult to hear. Background noise, distortion, poor recording quality and other problems can obscure what was captured.

Hear The Difference
Experience that listens.
I’m a 30 year veteran audio engineer and over the past three decades I’ve worked with all kinds of audio from recording, editing, mixing, and solving problems in real-world situations. That experience gives me a unique ability to work with difficult recordings and bring out the information that matters. I started FORENSICwave because I believe professional audio enhancement shouldn’t be out of reach simply because a recording is difficult or the budget is limited. I’ve worked with a wide range of recording equipment, software, microphones, and recording environments, and I’ve learned how to listen closely to what an audio recording is actually telling me. Forensic audio is a natural extension of that experience, but instead of trying to make something sound “good,” the goal is to carefully work with the recording and determine how much useful information can be recovered. I approach each recording individually, taking the time to understand its problems and determine what can realistically be improved.
Forensic audio enhancement
The minimum charge is $150 per recording. Additional time is billed at $75/hr. Before any work begins, I’ll review your recording and let you know what I think the job will require and the maximum cost.
My services are strictly limited to forensic audio enhancement and restoration. I do not provide transcription, expert witness services, or other forensic services outside of the enhancement itself.
Every recording will be carefully evaluated before work begins to determine what can reasonably be recovered. If a recording is clearly beyond what I can improve, I’ll let you know before proceeding.
If I complete the work and you feel the recording could be better, you’re welcome to have another audio professional take a shot at it. If they’re able to achieve a better result, I’ll refund 50% of your payment. No questions asked.
Let’s talk.
